Lyrics & script sync

Sync Lyrics or a Script to Audio

You wrote the words. Paste them once and CaptionFit times every line to the recording, so there is nothing to correct afterwards.

How it works

Three steps. That's the whole thing.

  1. Caption the audio — Upload or import a track and transcribe it. Even a rough first pass is enough to work from.
  2. Paste your lyrics or script — Open Fix with Script, paste the text and choose Fix spelling to keep the current line splits, or Fix spelling & re-segment to make one caption per line of your text.
  3. Check and export — Every caption now reads exactly as you wrote it, with the original timing. Turn on karaoke, style it and export.
In detail

What you get

Two ways to apply the text

Fix spelling swaps in your wording while keeping every caption's timing. Fix spelling & re-segment rebuilds the captions so each line of your lyrics becomes one caption.

Names, slang and made-up words

Artist names, brand names, invented words and heavy accents are the things transcription gets wrong. Your text fixes all of them at once.

Word timings re-aligned

After the fix, word-level timings are recomputed from the corrected text, so karaoke highlighting still lands on the right syllable.

Included with captioning

Script Fix costs nothing extra. Run it as many times as you need.

Works for scripts too

Paste a screenplay, a sermon outline or a lecture script. The same alignment fixes character names, verse references and technical terms.

Why it matters

Transcription hears sounds; you know the words. That gap is widest exactly where it hurts most: a chorus with an invented word, a song title, a guest's surname. Rather than hunting through the transcript, paste the text you already have and let alignment do the tedious part.

Lyrics sync is the natural companion to automatic captions for anything scripted, and the foundation for karaoke captions, which highlight one word at a time and therefore need every word to be right.

It is the feature musicians and filmmakers reach for first.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I sync my lyrics to a song in CaptionFit?
Upload or import the song and transcribe it, then open Fix with Script, paste your lyrics and apply. Choose Fix spelling to keep the existing caption timing, or Fix spelling & re-segment to make one caption per line of your lyrics.
Does pasting a script change the caption timing?
Fix spelling keeps every caption's start and end exactly as they were and only replaces the words. Fix spelling & re-segment re-splits the captions to match your lines, using the timing of the words underneath.
Will karaoke highlighting still work after I paste lyrics?
Yes. Word timings are re-aligned to the corrected text, so word-by-word highlighting follows the new words.
Does Script Fix cost tokens?
No. Fixing captions with your own lyrics or script is included, and you can run it as often as you like.
Can I sync a script that is not song lyrics?
Yes. Any text that matches the audio works: a screenplay, a speech, a sermon or a lecture script. It is the fastest way to get character names and technical terms right.
