What's New

Every notable update to CaptionFit, newest first — new ways to import a song, the cover scene timeline, AI image and video backgrounds, translation, karaoke captions and more.

Songer import & bigger projects

  • Import from a Songer link. Paste a Songer song link and CaptionFit fetches the track, its lyrics and its cover art — captioned automatically. You can now import by link from Suno, Udio and Songer.
  • A timeline that works like a video editor. Zoom and scroll, drag the playhead, snap cover edges to the lyric lines, see the words on a Lyrics lane, and undo a move.
  • Caption downloads use tokens. Downloading the subtitle file (SRT, WebVTT, TTML, ASS) is charged once per project — the button shows the price — and every format and re-download after that is free.
  • Up to 50 covers per project. Longer, more elaborate videos with many scenes.
  • See it before you sign up. The home page now shows the live cover timeline in action.

The scene timeline & trim

  • Build a scene timeline. Place several covers along the song — drag to move them, drag an edge to change how long each shows, and drag one over another to reorder.
  • Export just part of a track. Trim to a start and end, with an optional fade, to turn one song into a short clip.
  • Import from a Udio link, the same one-paste way as Suno.
  • “Render” is now “Export.” Same one click to your finished MP4 — clearer wording.

AI video backgrounds

  • Generate a moving background from a prompt. Describe a scene and get a short looping video to sit behind your captions — right in the editor, no footage needed.

Translate anywhere, and import a song from a link

  • Translate into 100+ languages. Caption once, then translate every line with a single click — timings stay in sync and your style, fonts and karaoke highlight carry over. Your original is kept, so you can produce several languages from one project.
  • Import from a Suno link. Paste the song link and CaptionFit fetches the track and its lyrics and captions it automatically — no transcription, no copy-pasting lyrics.
  • Generate a cover image with AI, matched to your 9:16 or 16:9 canvas.
  • Your own cover library. Reuse any image or video you've added or generated before.

CaptionFit launches

  • Automatic captions. Upload audio or video and get accurate, timed captions in seconds.
  • A full caption editor. Fix any line, adjust timing, or paste your script to correct it all at once.
  • Design the look. Choose font, size, colour and position from 30 fonts, previewed live.
  • Karaoke captions that highlight each word as it's sung, in a style and colour you choose.
  • Audio visualizer & cover images to give audio-only clips a background instead of a plain screen.
  • Export your way. A 9:16 or 16:9 MP4 for Reels, Shorts, TikTok and YouTube — or the subtitle file on its own as SRT, WebVTT, TTML or ASS. Already have subtitles? Upload an SRT and skip transcription.
  • Sign in in seconds with Google or a one-time email code.
